How to Export An Image Created Using GIMP to PNG or JPG Format

After creating an image using GIMP, we have to save it as a jpg or png file. It is very simple to save an image as png or jpg file in GIMP. A video demonstration of the same is given below.




Image can be exported to JPG or PNG format by following simple steps.

Click on File => Export To.

In the dialogue box that will appear , give a suitable name for your image file and select the folder to which file have to be saved. Click on Export.


Then a new window will appear where you can change the various settings of the images. Click on Export button.

Then file will be exported to the specified folder as a .png file.
