SN754410 - An Advanced Quadruple Half - H Driver From Texas Instruments

by realfinetime  |  in SN754410 at  05:07

SN754410 is an advanced Quadruple Half-H Driver from Texas Instrument. It is capable of giving a bidirectional drive current of 1A at a supply voltage of 4.5V - 36V, whereas L293D is capable of giving a drive current of only .6 A at the same supply voltage.

Device is designed to drive inductive loads like motors, solenoids and relays. This device has exactly the same pinouts of  L293D and hence can be used by the same circuit and codes of L293D. Pinout diagram of  SN754410 is given below. SN754410 is designed for operation from −40°C to 85°C. SN754410 is fitted internally with an Output Clamp Diode to protect the chip from Electrostatic Discharge.
