Connection between cathode pins of LED matrices and 3^rd 74595

         From the circuit, it is clear that cathode terminals of both LED MATRICES are connected to the Q0-Q7 pins of 3^rd 74595.

Connection between 74595 ICs and Arduino Mega

Connection between 74595 ICs and arduino mega is given below.

Connections can be summarized as:
DS (pin 14) of 1^st 74595 is connected to the 13^th digital pin of Arduino mega.
SHCP (pin 11) of 1^st and 2^nd 74595 is connected to the 12^th digital pin of Arduino mega.
STCP (pin 12) of 1^st and 2^nd 74595 is connected to the 11^th digital pin of Arduino mega.
Q7' (pin 9) of 1^st 74595 is connected to the DS (pin 14) of 2^nd 74595.

DS (pin 14) of 3^rd 74595 is connected to the 10^th digital pin of Arduino mega.
SHCP (pin 11) of 3^rd 74595 is connected to the 9^th digital pin of Arduino mega.
STCP (pin 12) of 3^rd 74595 is connected to the 8^th digital pin of Arduino mega.

Gnd pin of 74595 ICs should be connected to the Gnd pin of Arduino mega.
OE (pin 13) of all 74595 ICs should be connected to ground.
MR (pin 10) of all 74595 ICs should be connected to Vcc.
